- His career-high 154 tackles in 2009 ranked third in the nation and was the seventh-best single-season total in MSU history.
- Has posted double-digit tackles in 16 of his last 20 games overall, averaging 12.0 stops during that stretch. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native has led the team in tackles in 23 of the last 26 games.
- Has 354 career tackles, including 36.5 for losses (140 yards) and 15.5 sacks (87 yards). He currently ranks eighth in the school record books in career tackles. His 36.5 tackles for loss rank fifth on MSU’s all-time list and his 15.5 sacks rank tied for sixth in school history.
- Ranks fourth among NCAA FBS active leaders in tackles, averaging 9.2 stops per game.
- Jones has started 33 of 39 career games, including 27 consecutive starting assignments.
- Reached double-figures in tackles nine times in 2009 and 18 times in his career. He tied a career high 15 tackles on Nov. 22 against No. 13 Penn State.
